My training and experience
I trained in humanistic psychotherapy and counselling at Spectrum (www.spectrumtherapy.co.uk), a centre for humanistic psychotherapy in North London, where the main theoretical focus Gestalt and Formative Psychology. I also worked as a supervisor of psychotherapists and counsellors, and taught on Spectrum’s psychotherapy training programme for many years as well as being Spectrum’s Director of Training from1997 to 2008. I am a senior accredited counsellor and supervisor with the BACP (www.bacp.co.uk), and work to the Codes of Ethics of BACP. Prior to my work in the therapeutic field, I worked in adult education in London for over fifteen years. I also have a BA Hons in English and American literature and a PhD in social anthropology.
I am in ongoing professional supervision and continued professional development for my work. I have professional indemnity insurance and operate subject to UK law.
